Deborah Seymour MSN AGACNP-BC APRN CCRN
Nurse Practitioner
Deborah Seymour APRN is the owner and founder of Optimal Male TRT PLLC. She began her medical career in London, England, where she graduated from the Royal Free School of Nursing and was employed at the Royal Free Hospital, a world-class infectious disease and hepatic specialty university hospital, for 10 years. After emigrating to the United States in 2003 she attended Sacred Heart University where she obtained her Bachelor's of the Science of Nursing, and worked in critical care at UCONN Medical Center, as well as St Francis Hospital, Hartford CT, in the cardiac ICU (gaining the CCRN critical care credential), dialysis (where she was the clinical coordinator in charge of the dialysis program in five CT facilities, and became a CDN certified dialysis nurse), the Emergency Room, and informatics, where she assisted with designing the cardiology documentation within Epic Systems, for the cardiac cath lab and echo lab, becoming certified in the Cupid (cardiology) component of Epic.
While working as an emergency room nurse at St Francis Hospital, she began her graduate studies at the University of Connecticut. During her graduate program she attended clinical placements in critical care at UCONN Medical Center and the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Following graduation, she worked in the Cardiac ICU at Yale New Haven Hospital. Throughout this time she has maintained her CCRN critical care nurse certification. Deborah was also a clinical faculty member at Yale University School of Nursing, teaching nurse practitioner students during their clinical placements in the ICU.
Deborah has worked at many of Connecticut’s hospitals, including UCONN Medical Center, St Francis Hospital, Yale New Haven Hospital, Backus Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Mount Sinai, Middlesex Hospital and Hospital of Central Connecticut.
Deborah’s great passion is hormone balance and replacement, where she is able to make a big difference in the quality of life of many men suffering from symptoms of andropause and hypogonadism.
